* "Afousis" is a traditional from the island of Kasos. The title refers to Andras (Andrea), a young teacher who lived in the 19th century.  Andras lost his sanity after the massacre of his father by Turks in Crete and roamed the island wearing many hats.

The verse "Hey Afousi, hey Andras, nobleman nobel Andra" refers to the title "palaros" (nobleman) and "andras" (man, Andreas) he used for himself unseriously.  Today, the song is widely known and loved throughout Greece.
