Στη πρώτη μας τη γειτονιά
στα έρημα μπαλκόνια
Παίζουν και φτιάχνουνε φωλιές
ξανά τα χελιδόνια
Έλα πριν φύγει ο καιρός
Και μαραθούν οι κλώνοι
Όσοι φοβούνται να πετούν
Για πάντα μείναν μόνοι

Κι αν σου ‘πα λόγια κοφτερά
Για σένα μόνο έχω φτερά

Άσε το χώμα της καρδιάς
με δάκρυ να ποτίσει
και της ερήμου ο ανθός
ένα πρωί θα ανθίσει
Η Άνοιξη απ' τη καρδιά
Και πάλι θα περάσει,
όπως κι αν είναι ο καιρός,
ο κόσμος κι αν χαλάσει...

Desert flower

In our first neighborhood
on quiet balconies
swallows play 
and are building nests again

and the branches whither away
Those who are afraid to fly

and the flower of the desert
