Επίδαυρος

Ας μείνει μόνο το φεγγάρι στην ορχήστρα.
Στο αρχαίο θέατρο ας αδειάσουν οι κερκίδες.
Ας έρθει η νύχτα με μαχαίρι Κλυταιμνήστρα,
να πάρει εκδίκηση απ’ όλους τους Ατρείδες

Ας μείνει μόνο το φεγγάρι στην ορχήστρα
και μεθυσμένο από τον πόνο να με δει,
που θα περνάω τη ζωή μου σε μια ξύστρα,
για να τραβήξω την πιο μαύρη μου γραμμή

Κι αν η παράσταση που δόθηκε γελοία
κι αν μας εμπαίξανε οι πρωταγωνιστές,
στα ρημαγμένα σκηνικά και στα τοπία,
γυρνάν οι στίχοι του Ευριπίδη σαδιστές

Να μου θυμίζουν ότι είμαι εγκλωβισμένος.
Μέσα σε ψέματα που γίνανε θεσμοί.
Να ειρωνεύονται πως ζω ευτυχισμένος
κι άλλος στη θέση μου έχει θυσιαστεί

Ας μείνει μόνο το φεγγάρι στην ορχήστρα
και κάποιο σύννεφο ας με πάρει απ’ την Αυλίδα.
Αυτό το μέρος το `χα πάντοτε πατρίδα
κι όμως οι Έλληνες με διώχνουν από `δω

see me drunk on pain 
where I live my life as in a pencil sharpener
so as to recite my most black line

When my performance was ridiculous
and the protagonists made fun of us
in the sets of ruins and landscapes
the verses of Euripides became sadistic

They remind me that I am trapped
in the lies that have become institutions
in the irony that I am happy
and someone else in my place is sacrificed

Let the lonely moon shine over the orchestra
and may some cloud take me out of Aulida ****
This place has always been my homeland
but the Greeks are chasing me out
